Job Summary


George Consulting is seeking a RF Communications SME to support a Systems Integration Test and Evaluation (SITE) Integrated Product Team (IPT) with systems engineering efforts for the TacMobile program. Candidate will work closely with the P-3 and P-8 platform interfaces as well as the Global Command and Control System (GCCS).


Job Description:


Roles and Responsibilities -The successful applicant will apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to build, integrate, test, engineer, and validate and verify subsystem improvements in support of the P-8A aircraft. Duties include but are not limited to:


  • Provide RF Communications Technical Lead support to build, integration and testing, engineering, verification and validation of subsystem improvements in support of P-8A aircraft defined changes for TacMobile COMM upgrades

  • Provide RF Communications technical support for planned P8A capabilities to align the TOC/MTOCs to the aircraft IOC

  • Provide RF Communications support for In-Service Engineering of the current related subsystems (i.e., HFIP, Link-11, Link-16, UHF voice, SAT voice, HF voice, Image Communications Equipment (ICE) Imagery, TCDL, ROVER, GBS, SHF, MT32, RMSA-2300, HF ACAS and HF Data circuits

  • Provide RF Communications subsystem technical efforts to document Change Requests, updates to subsystem documents (i.e., IRD, IDP, SOVT, FIT, PITCO, FRCB process), keep Clear Quest documented defects and Change Requests up to date, document test reports, Analysis of Alternatives, Recommended COAs




The RF Communications SME must have a good understanding of, and experience in electronics repair and installation as well as SHF, UHF, EHF and HF. He/she must have knowledge and experience with Department of Defense (DOD)/Navy plans, policies, standards, and methods aimed at supporting logistics efforts that are associated with the systems administration, software development, and security compliance of software builds for military systems, specifically avionics C4ISR systems. Required Skills & Experience:


  • High School diploma or GED.

  • Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or four (4) year electronics apprentice program. Formal electronics training should include: Installation Tasks, Soldering, Cable Dressing, Cable Tray, Conduit, and Making/Repairing Connectors.

  • Eight (8) years of practical experience, to include: Electronics Repair, Maintenance, Installation and Checkout.

  • Three (3) years of practical experience, to include: electronics repair and installation, and six (6) years of experience with the task specific project.

  • Six (6) years’ experience with COMM related sub systems to include SHF, UHF, EHF and HF. Technical knowledge in building, integrating and testing the COMM sub-systems mentioned above. Demonstrated knowledge and skills in preparing related Installation Requirement Drawings (IRD) packages, Operations and Maintenance Manuals and users manuals.

  • Experience with hardware integration into transit cases, Cisco routers, firewalls, and Layer 2/3 switches configuration and compliance. Diagnostic troubleshooting and maintenance of servers, workstations and network devices. Has an in-depth knowledge of network architecture, VLAN IP addressing and routing tables.

  • Must be detailed oriented, be able to follow written procedures and provide timely feedback to leadership in order to meet program schedules.

  • UP to 30% travel.
